Today, June 14, 2018, A.O. "Verbina" organized the Closure Round Table of the project "Capacity Building of Representatives of the Local Public Authorities from Ungheni, Orhei and Leova districts in the field of school inclusion of children with intellectual disabilities and autism to improve access to equal education for all". The project was supported financially by the Embassy of Finland in Bucharest.

The purpose of the event was to present the results of the ADOS-2 test in diagnosing and evaluating children with intellectual disabilities and autism in the pilot districts of Ungheni, Orhei and Leova.

The event was attended by the specialists of the Psycho-pedagogical Assistance Services from the three project beneficiary districts and by the head of the psychological department of the Republican Center for Psycho-Pedagogical Assistance, Tatiana Lungu, who talked about the importance of the complex assessment of child development, a key element of a quality educational inclusion. At the same time, Ms. Lungu presented the results of the ADOS-2 test application in the districts of Ungheni, Orhei and Leova.

"In order to coordinate the timely and good realization of the activities carried out within the project, it was necessary to ensure a close collaboration between both project partners and the involved institutions. Thus, 33 children suspect with TSA from these 3 districts have been assessed by the CRAP licensed specialist by the ADOS-2 Test, thanks to the financial support from the Embassy of Finland in Bucharest, "said Ana Levinte, the director of A.O. "Verbine".

“At the moment we are in transition from kindergarten to school of 2 children with intellectual disabilities and autism. The information from the Round Table will help us greatly in the process of educating and raising awareness among teachers, children's groups and parents in order to facilitate their inclusion. We are grateful for having had the opportunity to be a pilot district and for the fact that we have managed to set a correct diagnosis of the five children in our district, so we will be able to develop a complex individual work plan "- said Aurelia Nuca, director of SAP Leova.
